One of English Heritage's most iconic sites. The views alone are worth coming for. It is spread out over a large area and it is difficult to find your way around. Some attractions have large queues. … Full review by KAW687

Loads to see and you need a complete day to see everything. There are plenty of parking which is free and loads of guides to help you on your way round. Passed many times and glad we called there. Full review by Sunshine33795714411

Although I have never cruised into Dover, but Dover Castle is about a 6 minute car ride or a 45 min walk I am not aware of a direct bus link but taxi would not be out of the question. You may want to inquire about a tour from the cruise line. Cost to enter the Castle for two adults is about 40 UK pounds,. Taxi may be less. Good luck and by the way visiting this site is worth it.

At present most EH attractions are very busy and if you wait and buy on the day you may find that you have to wait for "a spare slot" or not get in at all. For example, Framlingham Castle today (Monday 23 August) had people without prebooked tickets waiting over an hour to get in.
