WEBNov 12, 2022 · Alchemy, ES2, and Retro Synth all sound great. Best bang-for-buck out there, but only if you're already a Mac owner. Arturia will probably be having a sale soon for their V-Collection, and that's a REALLY good pack of vintage synth emulators. If that's what you're looking for (Moog, ARP, Roland, Synclavier, Oberheim, etc), they're very legit!
Best EWI to get? Or the new Yamaha Digital Sax?

I think Akai's newest offering, Yamaha's newest offering, and all of Roland's offerings are way off mark. What I want is really a 4000s that has Bluetooth Low Energy Midi, that is wireless, and is still an analog synth. The Bluetooth Midi is really a must.

It requires time and finding the right settings for you (key delay, etc) to fine tune it to the way you play and what you are expecting it to do.

Still, to try to get proficient at it I've been practicing H. Klose etudes and stuff from Universal Method for Saxophone, Jazz Conceptions for Saxophone, and the Charlie Parker Omnibook.
Wind Controllers? EWI 5000 VS Roland AE-20/AE-30? I need one.
WEBApr 20, 2022 · But others are bothered by how sensitive the keys on the EWI are. The Roland AE-20 has most of what the AE-30 has so I'd go for it over the 30. But since they are apparently similar I'm interested in experiences with either model. These models look like a big step up from the Roland AE-10.

WEBJun 7, 2013 · The WX5 is $550 and offers no sounds out of the box, the EWI (NOT the 4000s, the USB) is only $300, and comes with internal sounds. Or should I consider the EWI4000s which is $700? I can probably scrape up the $700 for the 4000s if it's really beneficial, but realistically my budget only allows for the WX5 or the EWI USB.

WEBOct 12, 2007 · EWI 4000s and WX5 have different fingerings. Both models have more than one fingering mode, and at least one mode that is sax like. The WX5 provides alt fingerings for a few notes that can (depending on the synth used) alter the timbre - very cool.
