WEBMar 8, 2016 · My 2D project has a bunch of large textures, so I set the "Packing Tag"s to generate sprite atlases (set to "Alway Enabled (legacy Sprite Packer)"). Now when I build, the Build Report's section "Used Assets and files from the Resources folder, sorted by uncompressed size:" has entries for both the textures themselves as well as the sprite atlas.

For a 50x50 tilemap that however means 2500 gameobjects. It won't be a huge game, but that seems very much.

[2D Unity5 Windows Performance] Build from Unity5 works
WEBMar 6, 2015 · The same scene built in unity5 works significal slower. In editor everything is ok and there is no performance drop. Scene contains big sprites and some colliders 2D and 3D. The only idea is that it is linked with my PC configuration - integrated Intel HD5000. What has changed? Will it be fixed in future versions of unity5?
